“Spiritual Healing to Heal Ourselves, All Beings, and the Earth”

  • On the path of spiritual healing, we become vessels for the divine healing light from above and the vital life force of the Earth below. As we clear the blockages within our chakras and subtle channels, this sacred energy flows more freely through us, deepening our capacity to transmit healing to ourselves and others. In healing ourselves, we awaken as instruments of the divine.
  • These transformative healing classes explore developing intuition, sustaining personal magnetism, strengthening the integrity of the energetic field, and expanding the breath to cultivate the skills and abilities needed for spiritual healing —both for personal healing and for healing others.
  • They integrate breathwork, wazifa toning, Zikr, prayers, meditations, and Qigong to help clear and balance our energy as we move through life and its challenges. These practices deepen both the transmission and the skills of spiritual healing.
  • This is a 3 session Zoom class series sponsored by the Sufi Ruhaniat. Please do not share the link.

About Murad's Classes

Murad’s classes provide practices for developing the capabilities/skills for spiritual healing, both for healing ourselves and for projecting healing to others. Many are related to The Healing Zikr, a multi-layered zikr that has come through Murad. Other classes include practices for breathing, cleansing/release, guidance/intuition and protection and working with prayers.

Class titles marked “**With text” include written information as part of the video. Those marked “*Handout” have an accompanying handout in PDF and Word format.

Many of Murad’s classes are taken from “the practice of the day” preceding Murad’s Sunday Healing Ritual. There are also video presentations from DHO Gatherings beginning in 2020 and some audio recordings beginning in 2012.

Murad’s classes include practices in developing breath and concentration, cleansing and clearing ourselves, moving and projecting energy, as well as bringing in divine help with prayer. They also include practices for slowing down and protecting ourselves, so we can cope more effectively and maintain our balance and center, and practices for accessing and developing our intuition, so we can open ourselves to our highest purpose and divine guidance.

The Healing Zikr is a multilayered practice that has come through Murad that has an overall purpose of healing ourselves so we can become better channels to heal others. The zikr uses prayer, movement, sound, and vibration to open, clear, and charge our chakras/centers. In later phases of the zikr, the breath/concentration connects our chakras/centers, drawing in divine healing love, light and life and also the vitality and the life of the earth. This sequence of practices is very effective for projecting healing from our hands, eyes and entire being.

Murad has developed two Qigong forms: Posture Qigong and Sufi Qigong, also known as Turning Sound Qigong. Movements for both are simple, easy to learn and are adaptable for any physical challenge. Practicing Posture Qigong provides pain relief, increased ability to do daily activities and exercise and improved range of motion. It utilizes gentle stretches coupled with isometric strengthening and breath that target the major posture compensations for each part of the body. The Sufi Qigong/Turning Sound Qigong training teaches us how to increase physical, emotional and mental/spiritual vitality by working with the “Taoist 3 Centers” which are similar to the Indian/ayurvedic system of chakras. In addition to using typical methods of qigong – slow, gentle movement and breath, Turning Sound Qigong adds in imagery, sound, moving in the 4 directions and using the qualities of those directions. This directs our awareness to the parts of our body that need healing to activate our body’s natural self-healing and self-repair mechanisms. Online video training courses are available at a low cost for both Posture and Turning Sound Qigong on Murad’s website at https://acu-current.com/training-and-seminars/qigong-training/

Essential Concepts Introduction

Goals of Spiritual Healing

One goal of spiritual healing is directing the healing energy toward ourselves, toward a particular part of our body or ailment. Another goal is directing the healing towards others or towards a region or the earth.

Skills

To do this, we first learn to move the breath/concentration/attention to our chakras/centers to clear, cleanse and strengthen them. We then connect them and draw in the divine healing light from above and the vitality and life of the earth. When this is accomplished, we can project healing from our hands, eyes and entire being.

Many of Murad’s practices teach ways to do this.

  • Healing Zikr: Opens and clears our centers/chakras and channels to heal ourselves and become better channels to transmit healing to others and to the earth. Teaches us to move the breath/concentration to various parts of our body
  • Breath Practices: Teach us how to balance, spiritualize and strengthen the breath
  • Prayers: Bring in divine help
  • Intuition: Helps lead us to our highest purpose by opening up our intuitive chakras to divine guidance

Sufi Qigong & Posture Qigong Online Courses

Prior to developing the Healing Zikr (a Sufi practice with a Qigong influence), Murad developed Sufi Qigong, a Qigong practice with a Sufi influence. Sufi Qigong is also known as Turning Sound Qigong.

More information

Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures that utilize slow, gentle movement with breathing techniques and focused intention or imagery. The word Qigong is made up of two Chinese words. Qi is pronounced chee and is usually translated to mean the life force or vital energy that flows through all things in the universe. The second word, Gong, pronounced gung, means accomplishment, or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together, Qigong means cultivating energy. It is a system practiced for health maintenance, healing and increasing vitality.

The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qigong reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. It has also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions. Those who maintain a consistent practice of Qigong find that it helps one regain a youthful vitality, maintain health even into old age and helps speed recovery from illness. Western scientific research confirms that Qigong reduces hypertension and the incidence of falling in the aged population. One of the more important long-term effects is that Qigong re-establishes the body/mind/soul connection.

The Sufi Qigong course (Turning Sound Qigong) is designed to increase vitality. In addition to using slow, gentle movement, breath and imagery, this Qigong adds sound and movement in the 4 directions, using the qualities of those directions. Key benefits are physical, emotional and mental/spiritual vitality.

Posture Qigong is an easy, simple to learn method for relieving pain by correcting posture. It can help problems in the neck, back, shoulders, elbows, hands, fingers, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Posture Qigong combines stretching, strengthening and relaxation to relax tight muscles and increase mobility in joints.

It is necessary to both stretch and strengthen tight and weak muscles. Posture Qigong exercises are designed to correct the most common posture imbalances that are caused by repetitive movement or trauma. These posture imbalances can get aggravated by daily activity and exercise. The Posture Qigong exercises stretch and gently strengthen at the same time. A few brief exercises are repeated several times throughout the day to relieve pain and correct posture imbalances. Once pain is relieved and posture improved, Posture Qigong is continued to maintain posture for long- term improvement.

Sufi Posture Qigong for Healing the Neck (2/12/23) is a merger of my acupuncture/Chinese Medicine/Qigong world with Sufi Healing. We learn 2 unique neck stretches that help heal the neck and correct posture.

Posture Qigong is:

  • A stretch exercise – Using Post-Isometric Relaxation, the gentle, isometric pressure allows muscles to stretch considerably faster than
    normal stretching.
  • A strengthening exercise – The opposing muscles are being strengthened at the same time.
  • A relaxation practice – Adding in the breathing component brings additional oxygen to the target muscles and enhances relaxation.

In this online Posture Qigong course, Dr. Finkelstein teaches with video, photographs, written instructions and functions (what posture imbalances each qigong exercise corrects).
