Opening Our Inner Being to Manifest Our Next Stage

For our practice of the day, since we’re coming close to the solstice—in the northern hemisphere, the summer solstice, and in the southern hemisphere, the winter solstice—and since a lot of you are in the northern part, we’re more focusing on that part of it. It’s the time of moving into great expansion. We’re just finishing up the springtime—energy building and ready to start coming out—and we’re about to move into the fullness of that as we move into summer.

We’re going to do a practice to help engender that. Part of what that means is that any of the stuff that we’ve been working on, percolating on, moving through, has the possibility of moving into greater manifestation as we move into the summertime. It’s when the earth’s energies are emphasizing that aspect of our being.

To do that, we’re going to use a phrase that we use a lot, and many of us know: Ya Fattah, the Opener of the Way. And we’re going to use it in a particular way to open ourselves up to whatever those possibilities are. Some of them we may know, some of them we may not know until we get there. But to make us as ready as possible. And part of this means you have to acknowledge that you actually are ready.

And sometimes we’re not—and that’s okay too, because timing is important. Not everything happens when we want it to or when we think it should.

We’re going to work with this. And if it feels as though it doesn’t resonate with you in a particular way or place, don’t do it. Just respect what your inner being is telling you.

Opening the Chakras with Ya Fattah

What we’re going to do is work with Ya Fattah in each of the chakras to open up those areas—for whatever we need to be and whoever we need to be—for that manifestation to come through.

Heart Center

We’ll start with the heart center. Place both hands over the center of the chest.

Tone Ya Fattah a few times. Then breathe Ya Fattah on the in-breath and the out-breath into the heart center. Feeling it in the center of the chest, letting the heart be open and ready—for whatever changes need to happen or want to happen.

Solar Plexus

Now we’re going to move down the center channel to the solar plexus—midway between the navel and the rib cage. Hands go right on that center.

Tone Ya Fattah, feeling it in that center. This is our empathy, compassion, and boundary center. Opening it to whatever pieces need to be opened, to allow the changes to happen.

On the in-breath and out-breath, Ya Fattah into the solar plexus—opening up our power center, so our power is accessible for whatever we need to do.

Lower Abdomen / Hara / Dantian / Vitality Center

Now moving down to the lower abdomen, lower Dantian, Hara, Vitality Center—the place where we have the strength to manifest everything.

Opening this center gives us another level of power that comes from the earth—moving through us—so we can manifest whatever is opening up within us and for us.

Breathing Ya Fattah into the center of the lower abdomen, on the in-breath and out-breath—breathing deep into the lower abdomen, to the center of that area midway between the front and back of the body.

Throat

Now moving up to the throat center. Hands cupping the throat area—both lower and upper parts.

Toning Ya Fattah into the throat. Opening up creativity, allowing what’s in the heart and the strength of the lower chakras to come through in whatever way it wants to and needs to.

On the in-breath and out-breath, Ya Fattah into the throat—opening up the voice.

Eyes and Inner Vision

Now moving to the eyes and third eye. If you’re wearing glasses, you may want to take them off.

Cup your hands over the eyes, angled toward the forehead. Tone Ya Fattah into the eyes and third eye, so we have the inner vision and the outer vision to see where we’re heading—what we’re opening into.

On the in-breath and out-breath, Ya Fattah into the eyes and third eye. Keep your hands there if you’re comfortable, drop them if you need to, or lean over and rest your elbows on your rib cage.

Ears and Inner Hearing

Now moving to the ears. Cup your hands over your ears.

Tone Ya Fattah into the ears—so that we can hear, so that we can open to whatever our inner hearing is telling us.

On the in-breath and the out-breath, Ya Fattah into the ears.

Setting Intention and Stillness

Let go of the ears, and just set an intention—that if we are ready, we are open to whatever our inner being, our higher self, is guiding us toward.

Sit with that for a few breaths, with Ya Fattah on the in-breath and out-breath—being open to what comes.

Assimilation Meditation

Now we move into assimilation meditation. Letting go of the phrase. Letting go of the breath. Letting go of the concentration.

Let the energy flow wherever it needs to flow—deep into all the cells of our being—without control or direction. Let yourself go soft and fluid.

Closing

As with many practices, it’s helpful to go back to this one before you go to bed—to rekindle the energy.

The opening will happen in whatever timing and way it needs to happen over the next period of time.

Amin.
